Situation
Seavale is a coastal resort situated in the tslomo reserve between Christmas Rock and Kaysers beach. The resort is situated 45km south of East London on the R72 and falls into the Sunshine Coast.
History
Seavale started out as a rustic camping destination frequented by local families and friends. This unspoilt stretch of the coast later became popular with visitors from further a field and folk from King Williams town, Queenstown and East London soon made it their favourite holiday destination. As time passed regular visitors purchased stands and left their caravans and erected permanent holiday dwellings.
The resort
To day the resort boasts over 200 houses with a permanent population of approximately 400. There is a unique close and friendly community who enjoy many facilities such as access control 24-hour security patrol, a community hall with a modern kitchen and library and pub. Private road, which leads down to a stunning beach were swimming, fishing dolphin and whale watching is unsurpassed. An inter denomination church holds services every Sunday. An active social club hold regular functions in the community hall. A well stocked General Dealer and off Sales keeps visitors and residents supplied. Would be visitors can acquire holiday accommodation in many homes offered by non-permanent resident homeowners.
